If there is anything that Nicky has learned about success, it’s that it takes hard work, determination, and unwavering perseverance.
“Everything happens for a reason” is one of her all-time favorite quotes because it encourages positive perspective. When a person views situations optimistically, it allows for the most productive outcome.

Nicky Fox is world traveler, working professional, business owner, and graduate of Emerson College. She graduated from Emerson with a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing Communications, and a double minor in Leadership & Management and Environmental Science.

She worked full-time during her entire college career; Apple Inc from freshman to junior year in Boston, and Sony Pictures Studios the first semester of her senior year in Los Angeles. Her friends would call her crazy for having 80+ hours a week of school and work, but she loved it because she loved the feeling of working hard.

Her last semester of college, she decided to embark on an adventure around the world called Semester at Sea, a study abroad program designed to give students first hand experiences in the cultures of other countries.


A week after college graduation, Nicky decided to move to New York City and wing it – she had no job, but knew that with hard work and determination, she would find one. Soon enough, she was hired at a luxury, celebrity personal training gym called DOGPOUND, and became the manager of social media and client relations. Not only did this teach her exceptional communication skills from dealing with the top dogs of Wall Street and Hollywood, but she learned how to successfully run the social media of a company.


By working for such a small brand, Nicky became inspired to start her own brand. With the help and motivation of a business partner, an LLC was born: LAURENICKYLIVE. LAURENICKYLIVE is a livestreaming brand on the social media platform Twitch, owned by Amazon, and is mainly used for gaming. They saw an opportunity to break the social media norm of fake perfection, and instead cultivate authenticity, because very few people were streaming blog style, travel and outdoor content like them. This LLC brought her to San Diego, where she and her business partner rose an idea from the ground up into a successful business.

Now she works at a social media company in Orange County, CA, where just after her second month of employment, she was promoted from a manager to director level position for her continuous business development insight and excelling drive for success.
